Rachel Couvillion

Attorney

Rachel Couvillion is an accomplished personal injury attorney with SWLA Injury Attorneys, with more than 12 years of dedicated courtroom advocacy on behalf of her clients. Rachel’s journey in the legal field commenced at Loyola University New Orleans, where she earned her B.A. degree with magna cum laude honors in 2008. Rachel obtained her law degree from Loyola College of Law in 2011, graduating with the highest distinction of summa cum laude.

Rachel began her legal career with a judicial clerkship at the 21st Judicial District Court before entering into civil practice in 2012 as a civil defense attorney and partner with the firm of Taylor, Wellons, Politz and Duhe. Recognizing her desire to serve as a trusted advocate for those experiencing the difficulties that necessitate personal injury cases, Rachel moved to the plaintiffs’ side of personal injury law in 2019 as part of the Broussard & Williamson legal team. Today, she is a devoted champion of client rights within the legal system as a partner attorney with SWLA Injury Attorneys.

Rachel’s areas of expertise include Motor Vehicle Crashes, Industrial Injuries, Commercial/Trucking Crashes, Railroad/FELA litigation, Homeowners Insurance Claims, and Catastrophic Loss cases. She stands as a formidable advocate in civil law, making her a sought-after counselor for clients. Notably, her experience defending major insurance companies arms her with an insider’s perspective on their tactics and how to best navigate this field. This invaluable insight uniquely positions her to fiercely represent her clients, maximizing their chances of favorable outcomes.

Hailing from the small town of Albany, Louisiana, Rachel has a competitive spirit that traces back to her days as a collegiate basketball player at Loyola. Today, she’s settled in the heart of the Atchafalaya Basin with her husband and children. As a nature-lover, Rachel enjoys being outdoors on the river and at her parents’ small cattle farm with her family.
